Megan McKeague Little Buskirk

Passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday, October 17th at the age of 37. She lived with her husband and 3 children on a small farm outside of Sheridan, IN. She was born to James Frederick Little DDS and Dale McKeague Little on February 15th, 1977 in Indianapolis, at Methodist Hospital.

She will be missed in a way that words can not describe by all that knew her and most especially; her parents, her older brother Jonathan Little and niece Lucy, by her older sister Allison Buckingham, her husband Jason and her nephews; Kai, Marley and Sol. Her Aunts and Uncles, Jim & Gail Richardson, Marion Stewart, Sue Mayer and Katherine Kesterson. Her husband, George Abram Buskirk IV whom she married on October 23, 2004 and their three children Murphy McKeague Buskirk age 6, George Abram Buskirk V age 4 and Lillian Ruth Buskirk age 21 months. Her in-laws MG (Ret.) George A. Buskirk Jr. and Maureen J. Buskirk, Mark & Anne Bailey, Brad Buskirk and his Fiancé Nadja Fowler.

Megan graduated from North Central High School in 1995 and attended Ball State University before Graduating from The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago.

There was nothing she loved more than her friends and family and there was no one who met her that didn't like her. She was a devoted mother who cherished her children and gave them such love that you can not be around them without seeing her shining in their eyes, words and actions. She was a loving and devoted wife who provided her husband with joy, amazing experiences and the blessing of a family that is more than any man could dream of having.

Megan was an artist and her medium was icing, fondant, gum paste - that was sculpted and painted on cakes. She baked many of the cakes as well, so, she brought true edible delight, laughter, joy, tears and wonderment to countless people that enjoyed her masterpieces. She accomplished this as a happy and devoted employee for Illene McHone of Classic Cakes in Carmel for 15 years and was the Manager for the past 9. Illene was not a boss but a friend, mentor and fellow artist. Her co-workers were cherished friends. She did not look at her job as work because she loved what she did. The creations she gave the world and the memories people have enjoyed are the moments of beauty that truly make life so sweet. The bond and friendship she experienced with not just her co-workers but countless customers is a testament to the appreciation of her art, kindness and professionalism.

Megan was an active member of the Junior League of Indianapolis and served on many committees including her favorite, Holiday Mart.

Megan attended Irvington Presbyterian Church growing up and was a current member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.

Megan loved flowers but in lieu or in addition to flowers, please make donations in her name to the Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
