You'd be 40 this year, little one. Forty. Yipes ... We all miss you terribly. I miss you far more than I ever thought I could. I cry for you and the choices you made that I don't understand, but that were uniquely yours to make. My biggest worry is that you were afraid at the end. Fear is not the last emotion I wish for my daughter.

Be content that we all remember you in happy ways, and know that nearly every day (EVERY DAY!!), I find myself singing "Soon It's Gonna Rain" and...
