Megha Shyam

I met Megha on the board of We Care. Truly, he cared about many who applied for emergency assistance. Many years later, Jeannie came to Quilts from Caring Hands. It seemed ironic that she also cared for others.

I wanted to commemorate Megha by remembering that we knew each other through my mother, Molly King, over the decades, and that the last time I saw him was in Corvallis with my sister Mim on our journey north to Seattle. Megha hosted us at the local Holiday Inn and took us to lunch and dinner, entertaining us each time with stories of his schooling, his Indian origins and family background, and current events.
