Dear Betty and family,

Although we did not know Mel personally we knew him through you and your great reports about the man of God that he was. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are extended to your entire family.

Paula, may Christ's peace which surpasses all understanding be with you and all the children right now. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Mel will be totally missed at the 8am mass but I think his seat from heaven will be even better than the front row in the transcept.

Adrienne and Family - I remember happy times up at the family house on hot summer days, lazing by the pool and good food and chatting. I also remember Mel's treat of sending some of us to wonderful Broadway plays. All of you are in my thoughts, heart and prayers. I know he is free of pain. Maureen Utz

We all liked Mel very much. He was a pleasure to chat with at his mailbox while getting mail and he always made sure to ask about all members of our family. The neighborhood will miss him.

Adrienne, I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember your father as a very kind and generous man. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
