Not sure what to say?

To Melanie and her family, Thank you for building the new park on Tacoma's waterway. It will always be a place that is cherished. I was born and raised in Tacoma and can remember the times my mother would park the car and allow us to play by the water before it became a well-known area. I'm happy to see that other's will enjoy moment's spent together by the waterfront. I feel it's important to allow "ALL" individuals' to the right to have fun no matter what their background is. Thank you...

Our hearts, love and prayers go out to your family. The Reding Family

Condolences to Melanie's family on the loss of their loved one. I was fortunate to work with Melanie for 4 years at Columbia. I had the privilege of knowing and admiring her. She was a great leader, Mother, wife, and friend to all. Her commitment to the community and to her employees was genuine. She will be missed. She was a fine person. It was a life well spent but gone too soon.

Melanie made a lasting impression on me, even though I only met her once. At an investor meeting in 2008, she came over to introduce herself to me, saying it was rare to see a woman at such events, and she wanted to meet me. She seemed like such a kind woman and thoughtful CEO. I hope her family can find comfort in their memories of her.

Lynda and Lisa, I was deeply saddened to learn of Melanie's passing. I know she will be missed terribly by the both of you, your families, and so many others.

I only met Melanie once or twice but felt like I knew her from the many conversations I had about her with her "best friend", her loving and devoted husband Bob. She was a loving mother, wife and an obvious professional success, she will be missed by all. My condolences to her "best friend" and the family.

Lynda & Lisa, Very sorry to hear of Melanie's passing, many broken hearts in her world and especially yours. The LaPlants have always been a very special family.

Melanie,
You touched me deeply ! I looked up to you and think the world of you. May you Rest In Peace and know you were loved by so many!
