Not sure what to say?

Whenever she would be with a patient, it was like her heart would just stop. She would solely focus on the patient.

Very caring to our family and a great doctor.

I always remember Melanie´s love for cycling and her sweet border collies. Loved seeing her walk them at the lake. Always happy and smiling. I was riding with her at the lake one day when a girl had a bad crash with head trauma. Melanie jumped into action and managed her care until the ambulance arrived. She cared for so many. Miss her!

It was always a pleasure to help Dr Kaspar in the OR. She was kind and professional in all she did for everyone. She was a bright light in the world that will be sorely missed. May God always keep you in the plan of his hand.

Melanie and I were best friends from the time she joined us at Raguet Elementary until I moved away in 4th grade. She was my very first best friend and I loved her very much. Brownies, Christmas Pageants, bike riding, playing in the creek, Barbies, and her trying to teach me to play the piano (ha ha). Rest in peace sweet friend.

John, so shocked, saddened and heartbroken to learn of Mel´s death. Mel was always a take charge force to be reckoned with. Caring, forthright, loyal. Our sincerest condolences to you and your families. Prayers. Joe & Susan Heaton (Dallas RFC)

Mr. John, I am a surgical registered nurse who worked with Dr. Kaspar for several years at Baylor. I loved her. She was the kindest, sweetest, and most caring anesthesiologist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Dr. Kaspar was incredible in the operating room. The way she cared for each patient with compassion and respect, was inspiring. I knew when we worked together, our patients were going to do well, because she was brilliant at her job. She never panicked or lost her cool, no...

Mel, you were a great one! Thx for taking care of the rugby boys when we were banged up...I´ve ordered an Indian Paint Brush in your honor!!

Hi, I came across your page when watching the news. I am a female anesthesia resident in training in NY and in my last year of training. When I saw what happened to a fellow female anesthesiologist I was so sad. She seemed like such a beautiful human being. I did not know her but my heart aches at the sudden loss and I send my prayers and love to her family, friends and hospital friends who worked with her.
