Not sure what to say?

Jody, this is Melanie's mom. Your message was so "on mark," Her boys are doing so well; I too believe she's watching over them. Maybe her dad (his name is Huey) and I can get together with you some day. I love to talk to people who knew my sweet Mel. As Huey Lewis says, she knew "the power of love.}

Melanie came to mind today, I don´t know why, I had just thought just when her life was going full steam ahead. I was her "Secretary" when she worked at "Oliff & Berridge" prior to her leaving for the USPTO as the first female Judge to work in the first BioTech appeals board. But what I remember the most was her absolute dedication to Huey Lewis, I don´t think she ever missed a concert!!! I picture your boys protected by the most glorious Angel as they navigate through life.

I miss you every day. There is so much I want to tell you so I hope you hear me when I send my thoughts to you. You remain my sunshine.

Melanie died about 5:00 AM on July 24, 2017. She fought stage 3C ovarian cancer for nearly eight years. She was a warrior...

I miss you every day, my girl -- your voice, honesty, courage, curiosity, questioning, work ethic, serious state of mind -- but playful too. When you smiled or laughed, it was so genuine and precious. What a great example you left for the boys. and many others!

Rest in peace

Mike, Mick, and Conor, it has been a pleasure getting to know your family at Hollin Hills Pool and through the Bluefish. Melanie was such a great person and we enjoyed being fellow swim team parents. Her devotion to her family was second to none and will live on in all of you. Blessings to you at this time; you will be in our prayers.

How blessed am I to have seen this beautiful woman from the day she was born to the day she was laid to rest. She is such a testimony for being the best you can be. Her brilliant mind, determination, and strength was like no other. I feel honored and blessed to call her my precious niece. Love you sweet Mel with all my heart. Keep doing great things from heaven - Love and more love aunt Mary

I was blessed to have lived in the Pi Phi Sorority house with Melanie during our college days and have many wonderful memories of her. My heart breaks with yours. Prayers to your family.
