Not sure what to say?

So sad to have run across this. I worked with and absolutely adored Melanie back in the1988 to 1990 time frame while working at Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC. I knew her as a super-intelligent, and a lover of animals and of life and all it's challenges. She was unique in so many ways. An independent thinker and of course a very beautiful woman, inside and out. God Rest her Soul...She is safely in heaven with our heavenly father.

I interned for Melanie at AFMA around 1997 while I was in law school. She was a great mentor and teacher. She treated me like someone intelligent and took time to really help me learn. I just Googled her while doing some research on AFMA for a project and was saddened to be led to this page. I'm lucky to have crossed her path on this earth, even for a short minute. To her family and close friends, I'm so sorry for your loss.

On Sunday, June 24th at 3:00 PM Melanie's ashes, and one single red rose were placed in the Pacific Ocean several nautical miles directly west of Pacific Palisades. May she rest in peace. With great sadness, Dave Price

Dear Melanie,

In 1982, at Cornell, Donlon Hall you were a part of my steadfast and intrepid circle of friends who found the strength to grow by leaning on each other, knowing full well, we could rely upon each other in growth, happiness, celebration, trial and sadness. Our bonds were exceptionally strong, like I never experienced before and how I have measured friendships ever since.

The serendipity that drew us all together is something I still marvel at. I was...

To Melanie's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was filled with sadness when I heard. I will always remember those first few months at Cornell in Donlon Hall and I will never forget her beautiful smile.

Thanks for the memories, Mel. May you rest peacfully.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Life is never fair, but it can offer its own kind of solace. We hope you find some peace with your family and friends today.

Dear Phyllis and Dick,

We are thinking of you and were so, so sad to hear about Melanie. There is no loss so great as a child and we know that a day won't go by when you don't think of her. Phyllis, we are so sorry.

With sadness,

I am so sorry for your loss, and hope you find comfort in this most difficult of times.
