I am so sorry Searfoss family for your loss. Melanie was such a breath of fresh air. I had the honor of knowing her at Fort Ord, CA and then after many years re connecting on FB with her and her family. My daughter spent as much time at her house as she did at her own. We got hooked on dirty rice(& putting ketchup on it)and I loved her Dill dip she made me many times(& she gave me her recipe). She loved her life, her husband and her girls. Thank you Melanie for being such a wonderful friend....
