I did not know Melba personally. My mother in law Ann Pace was one of her dear friends. I would like to send my condolences on her behalf. Ann had to have by pass surgery today. Ann has always spoken highly of Melba and the time she spent with the Sweet Adeline's.

Melba always found a way to give back her smile was contagious and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity of attending church with her and also being a part of the Peach Piper Chorus. Her legacy will shine in heaven forever and ever and she will be missed..may you rest in peace sweet friend.

Melba, you were a good friend to me for many years. Because of you I have spent many years in Sweet Adelines. You had a sweet and generous heart. Enjoy singing around the throne of our Lord and praising Him for eternity!

I am quite positive Ms. Melba will be missed around Spartanburg. I first met her on a bus trip to Atlanta. We sang some barbershop tunes and she invited me to sing with the Sweet Adelaides. I am a former secretary at Carver Jr. High--70's.
