Melba Joyce Johnson Gipson

Melba was always an inspiration to me through my childhood, especially with Girl Scouts. She was full of energy and ideas which she passed on to her family. When both of parents passed away, she was there as a shoulder to lean on. What an amazing lady. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Melba was a special lady. I have fond memories of her and her visits to the Funeral Home during my employment there. My prayers are with you and your family.

I have a lifetime of memories that include Melba - from Scout Leader,
slumber parties and campfires, our first progressive dinner, that trip to San Antonio, and forever, the love of living life and sharing her experiences with others. Melba was such a role model for me with her sense of adventure and life experiences. I will miss her dearly but will smile and wave each time I drive by 'the hill', remembering her warm smile and spunk. You were all very blessed to have her as your Mother....

I worked for Gipson Funeral from 1947 to 1955 and was best man at the wedding. Melba mailed cookies to me while I was in Korea in a container packed with pine straw and pine cones.

Your mom was always one of my favorite people she always had a smile on her face and was always in a good mood she will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you at this sorrowful time.
