Melba M. Timmerberg

I often visited with Melba during my time as director of the library directly across the street from her home. She was so often outside, always busy doing something, which she told me was due to growing up on a farm. Once in awhile before opening, I´d hear a knock on the library door and there was Melba, "Just wanted to say hello" she´d say, " and see how you´re doing." But, more often our exchanges were a wave from one to the other. No matter how small this may seem, I´m thankful for her...
