Melecio M. Mabalot, 89, a native of the Philippines, loving husband of the late Angelita Mabalot. Loving father of Melanie Mabalot of Stockton and Nenita Lagana of the Philippines. Dear brother of Narciso Mabalot of Stockton. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. A member of Worshipful Liberty Lodge No. 140, Legionarios del Trabajo in America, Inc., Manuel A. Roxas Post No. 798 American Legion, Carcar Brotherhood Assn., United Aid of Sibonga and Filipino Catholic Assn. POW World War II.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the Chapel of the Palms Funeral Home, 303 S. California St., Stockton, thence to St. Luke's Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Mortuary Chapel followed by services conducted under the auspices of the Grand Lodge Legionarios del Trabajo in America, Inc. Burial will be at San Joaquin Cemetery. Visitation: Tuesday 1 to 7 p.m., Wednesday noon to 7 p.m.

You just left the hospital when I dropped by to see your Dad after I heard that he was at Dameron. you always said ' i love you' to us grandpa and you have always looked after us. but now you can still watch over us and now it is our time to say 'i love you' and goodbye i know i haven't said it all the time but i do love you grandpa. and im glad you're in a place where u don't have to suffer anymore and where you can always be happy!
