Not sure what to say?

To the family of Melinda,

I have recently received the information of Melinda's death. I spent a couple of years in a friendship with her during our high school years, and I remember her as a nice, genuine, and attractive girl. Reading the brief telling of her story today has had an impact on my views, and has me wishing I was a little more like Melinda. I wish you well.

Dear Donnie and family, I am so upset and sorry to hear of your loss, our loss. Melinda and I were friends back at Dolan Barracks in Germany. She was a wonderful, bubbly, and sweet person. She was like a sister to me in those days.

Oh Donnie I am so sorry for your loss. Melinda was a good friend and old roommate. I will miss her deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Donnie and Ralph,
Just wanted you to know I was very sorry to hear of your loss!

Donnie,

I am very sorry to hear of Melinda's passing. We worked together for over 20 years, Melinda was an exceptionally good person and friend. We had several talks about her battle with cancer and I know she wasn't about to give up. I will certainly miss her.

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. May you have many memories to get you through the days ahead. I am a classmate of your brother Ralph and have visited your mom on my trips back to VA when I visit my aunt in Williamsburg and noticed this in the paper over the week-end. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.
