Not sure what to say?

I was in Mrs. Mill's 7th grade science class in '99-'00. Through her impassioned teaching she cultivated in me a love for science, biology, and the marvels of the human body. It was in her class that I decided to become a physician. And here I am, almost 20 years later, halfway through with my surgical residency. I spoke about her influence and the mark she left on me when asked why I chose to pursue medicine during both my medical school and residency interviews. It was while I was searching...

My deepest sympathies to Melinda's family. I learned of her passing last month at our 50th class reunion in Centralia. In high school, Melinda was such fun to be around, always happy and full of energy and she had a winning smile. She was Homecoming Queen and I was so pleased that she received that recognition. I'm not surprised that she was such a success professionally and am sure a wonderful wife and mother. I hope you are comforted by your memories of her wonderful personality.

As a colleague of Ms. Ron Mills, I feel deeply sorry for Ms. Melinda Mills' passing away. But I also know it has been a wonderful life she had lived with her loved families. I am sure Ms. Melinda has started her new Journey in a much better place, teaching, reading, gardening.... with all the blessings. Rest in peace and my condolences to Mrs. Mills' family.

Mrs. Mills was one of the best teachers I've had in all my years as a student. She made her science class at Clear Lake Intermediate so interesting and had an uncanny way to encourage her students to want to learn more. More importantly, she was personable and showed a genuine interest in her students' lives. The world needs more people like Mrs. Mills. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace and my condolences to Mrs. Mills' family.
