Not sure what to say?

Dear Jay, So very sorry to hear about Melissa. I was looking forward to seeing her, and the rest of the Dayton SCA crew that I grew up with, next year. I never saw her or you, Jay, without a smile - and that's the way I see you still. Know that both you and Melissa are still thought of warmly, and shall always be. My sincere condolences to you and the family.

I am so saddened by the news of Melissas passing. I went to Jr. High through High School with her. We were in Band and Chorus together also. She was a very nice person and a good friend. My prayers to Jay and the Yakura family on this loss.

My wife, Leonor, and I were deeply saddened to learn of Melissa's death. I recall her as a kind, gentle undergraduate student at Wright State University, and an avid SCA member. Her untimely death came as a shock. Although we'll be out of town on the day of the Memorial Service, please be assured that Jay and the two boys have our prayers, thoughts, and sympathy in this tragic time.
