To my little nephews Clayton and Nathan. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I wish I was there to give you a great big Texas hug. Melissa was a part of my life at one time and she always made me laugh! What a super cook as well, she made a mean manocotti. You will be missed by many and may the strength of others help your son's, family and friends get through this difficult time. Much love and many prayers,

Melissa will be internally missed in the softball community in Colorado Springs. She was a great player and her love for the game showed every time she took the field. I was one of many lucky players in the Springs to have taken the field with her. Her love for the game took a back seat to her love for her boys and the joy she had watching them play sports. I will never forget her smile that lit up a room when she entered. Lonnie, Sherry, Nathan & Clayton you will always be in our prayers....

Our family is heartbroken over the passing of Melissa. We know Nathan and Clayton through school and soccer. We wish Lonny, Sherri and the boys strength at this most difficult time.

Keith and I first met Melissa at CPK but quickly formed a good friendship with her. She exuded those qualities of a true dear friend, someone who you immediately care and admire and love. One thing we knew to be true was her total commitment and love for her two sons. She was a beautiful person and our hearts are broken by her sudden loss. She will be missed terribly.

I attended high school with Melissa and was friends with her. She was always smiling and spunky. Always laughing and looking for a good time with her friends. We will miss her very much.

Melissa and I got to know each other watching Clayton and Nathan and my nephew, Gus, play little league baseball each week this past spring. What a great woman - a wonderful mother to two terrific boys, a funny friend, and full of fire and excitement for life. My husband and I played on her softball team this summer and she was always so fun to be around. My thoughts will be with Clayton, Nathan, Sherry, and Lonny in the difficult days to come. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Prayers go out to Melissa's family. I have know Melissa thru. CPK for over 4yrs- I'm a vendor and she always had a smile on her face and even when I saw her out and about in the Springs. I'm also a motorcycle rider and it sad to hear news like this.

Our school community, Cherry Valley Elementary, is deeply saddened by the loss of Melissa. Our hearts go out to Nathan, Clayton, Lonny and Sherry. She was a great mother, full of love and life.
