Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to read this, I have been telling my children about the year I spent in the US as an au pair for Melissa and Phil's two children. I have such fond memories of you all and am deeply saddened to have learned of Melissa's passing. Best wishes, Leanne x

Often reflect on our time together. Wish I could have had more time working with her. Class act and consummate professional. Miss her immensely.

I recently reconnected with one of Melissa´s daughters on Instagram-in this strange social media world of ours. I was Melissa´s RA at UVA and was always impressed by her quiet intelligence and sly sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss. What a life of purpose and love.

Best boss I ever had. So much (and miss) those conversations in her office (as Director S&T DIA) as the work day was winding down. Wishing the continued best wishes and health to her family.

Melissa was a great boss and an inspiring leader. Working for her was pivotal in my IC career and I am forever grateful she selected me for her Plans and Policy team. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

We were privileged to have had Melissa as a friend and neighbor, and she leaves a big hole in our lives. Thinking of you all, Phil, Alison, Rachel and Jackson. Someone once told me that grief is like the tide: it ebbs and flows. May you find comfort and solace in Psalm 23. A big hug from Maine.

Melissa's passing is a great loss to the Intelligence Community, her friends, and, most of all, her family. Please accept our deepest condolences. VADM (Ret) and Mrs. Thomas Wilson

My sincere condolences to your family as you mourn. May God provide comfort and ease your sorrow through the power of prayer. Matthew 21: 22
