Dear Ernest Family,
As we carried Jordyn through the Wetherby's parlor to view the hundreds of pictures of Melissa, we were overcome. We never met Melissa, but as we looked at the pictures that chronicled her life, we saw a beautiful and happy young woman. We hope Jordyn lives such a life, one full of smiles, bringing joy to those she meets. These days, we hang on to Jordyn tighter and tighter, still unable to imagine your incredible loss. We are thinking of you and praying for you....

News of Melissa's sudden death fills me with sadness. All who knew your lovely daughter and sister will remember her warmth, vivacity, and friendship. I pray that memories of joyful times with Melissa will help to comfort you in your sorrow.

I am so, so sorry about the loss of your daughter, I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news on Monday. I remember when I first met you both at Pebble Beach, two or three of the girls were with you, I can't remember if Melissa was one. All of your friends at Alcon are thinking of you constantly.
