Lissa costumed several shows for me at Farmers Alley Theatre. She was a wonderful collaborator with superb taste. We became good friends over those creative and fun years.

Melissa died Monday, July 7, 2025. I served on the Steering Committee with Lissa when we created the Hospital Hospitaiity House, and then on their first Board of Directors. She was a member of the Junior League at the time which took on the effort to create the Hospitality House, together with Kalamazoo's two hospitals. I knew her as a social worker at the time, as I was, so we bonded and worked well together, but then Lissa bonded with everyone. She was everything noted in her obituary to everyone! Rest in peace dear friend.
