Not sure what to say?

Still missing you, friend. LYLAS!

I just heard the news. So many memories running through my heart right now. We first met in 3rd grade and somehow kept in touch all these years through our letters and later trains of texts back and forth a couple times a year. You always had a smile and kind words for everyone. You are amazing. You will be missed, Mel. My Dances With Crutches. LYLAS always, my friend.

There are so many to share, fun and full of laughter. Sometimes we wept together, usually from laughter, at times movies and on occasion a serious moment. We shared so many crazzzee, fun, serious, worldly, personal truths with each other. Mel was always the wind beneath my wings. Lifting me higher, pushing me further, showing me through example how to be strong, not to give up. She blessed me with her friendship and truth, but felt like a kindred spirit. A person I never tired of being with.I...

Im so sorry I didn't keep in touch. I spied your page earlier and found out that way. Im glad you're no longer suffering. Just know that I miss you and I enjoyed our time together. You were a good one Melissa. Thanks for being there for me, even if I wasn't there for you.

Mel was one of our earliest and best friends on Instagram. We sent her the plush monkey Marvin when she was in hospital three years ago. The Instagram Plushie community loved her even though we never met her. She is an inspiration in how to live life to the fullest and spread joy to others. We always said we would visit her one day and we intend to do so. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We hope that somehow the adventures of @maxwellnmarvin.on.the.loose will continue on Instagram to...

Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel for the passing of Melissa. Please accept my condolences.

You will always be loved and never forgotten my dear MK. Rest In Peace.

I loved going to concerts with you, or just hanging out and sharing a piece of carrot cake. Our many late night conversations. Our times together with our beloved Mikee. You will be missed dearly my friend. I always looked forward to seeing what color your hair was going to be. Lol. Love you girl. You had the biggest heart. The brightest smile and the most expressive eyes of anyone I ever met. But you are now with Mike your uncle jack and my mom, dorothy. Please give them all a hug...

Melissa was a very special person. A kind, sweet soul, who will be missed by so many of us. May her family and friends be comforted in the knowledge, that Melissa was loved by all who knew her. Sincerest condolences to her mother and father, brother, and family.

She had an infectious laugh. And a wicked sense of humor from a very young age.
