MELLY RESNICOW

I taught with Melly during her years in Northport. I would pass her each morning on the Northern State as she was a very careful driver, never going above 55. I, on the other hand would always duck down when passing, hoping that she wouldn't recognize me and give me a talking to about my speeding. Just within the last 3 months I ran into Melly at a doctors office and while she looked older and thinner, she was very recognizable and I was happy to be able to say hello. She was a good woman...

Mrs. Resnicow was a great educator, and influence in my early adult life. She made a lasting impression on me, teaching me how to think critically and hence write concisely. She was indeed the master of writing the essay. It was a privilege to be one of her students.
