Actress Melody Patterson has died, according to multiple news sources.
Patterson, who died Aug. 20 of multiple organ failure, was 66.
Born in Inglewood, California, she is known best for her role as Wrangler Jane on the campy television series "F-Troop." She also appeared in episodes of "Hawaii Five-O" while married to actor James MacArthur, who played Detective Dan "Danno" Williams in the series.
Patterson also appeared in commercials and theater stage productions of "Butterflies Are Free," "House of Blue Leaves" and "The Front Page."
Patterson's "F-Troop" co-star Larry Storch offered condolences on his Facebook page.
"It's with a heavy heart that we can let you know our beloved Wrangler Jane, Melody Patterson, passed away today," Storch wrote Aug. 20. "Our hearts are sad today. RIP Sweet Melody. We love you."

Dear Melody...you will be missed as " Wrangler Jane". There are more people interested in F Troop now than in the 60' s. I have a Pinterest in F Troop' s honor..w picture' s of u and cast memember' s. You are away from pain and the suffering now. So sorry for your family and cast member' s...! You really were getting it together when the lord called from your pain. F Troop helped me as a teenager..get through some rough times. Your show' s craziness kept me laughing. R. I. P. I so wish I could of met you in this life. I still enjoy F Troop on Me Tv and it takes me back to a time when Wrangler Jane rode into my heart and never left. Rip Melody you will be missed and never forgotten.
