It´s been 15 years, but you are still in our hearts daily, Mel. You would be so proud of your kids. They have grown into caring, responsible adults. I find it difficult to realize that it has been two and a half months since you left this earthly plane of existence. I still miss you every day, I miss sending you emails and receiving them from you. I miss your smile and infectious laughter. The Medical Examiner's report indicated it was a blood clot and there was nothing anyone could have done, but we all still wish there had been some way to delay your departure until you'd reached the ripe old age of about 120 or...

I am still in shock after receiving word from Cheryl about Melonie's passing. We grew up as first cousins, but our feelings were more like brothers and sisters. I remember so much about our lives from the beginning when we were kids and then spending that summer with you in Florida.
