Not sure what to say?

St. Patrick's Day, your birthday and mine was always a blast as we always traveled somewhere special for the entire week, Ireland, Chicago, New Orleans, Biloxi, Florida, etc. March will never be the same, nor will St. Pat's Day. RIP, my friend. We all miss you terribly, especially at this time of year.

I had the pleasure of meeting Melva in 2004, I worked for her in her notary shop for a brief time. I will miss her jokes, warm smile, good judge of character and her no-nonsense attitude. Melva always gave it to you straight, she cut no corners.
I learned a lot from Melva, she was a hard working independent woman who never let you forget it. She gave me a chance when I needed one and I will forever be grateful.
Rest in Peace.

Marilyn Buzbee put my sentiments so well. When I contacted Melva to become one of the 4,000, I hadn't seen her for twenty years, but we picked right up where we left off, a sign of a real friend.

Our wedding vows were preformed by Ms. Cavanaugh. She made our day special. She was really a special lady and will be missed.

I knew Melva for only a short time, she was an amazing woman..... Melva is in Irish Heaven....

Melva ranks up there among the "most unforgettable characters" with me. You never had to wonder where she stood on any particular subject...she was very clear on that. Many fond memories of her since I first met her in the '70s. When LSU had a home game, her brother Eugene would come to the game then visit Fellowhsip Church the next day. He was the only one of her family I knew. But I will lift each of you up in prayer as you embrace your loss. Those of us who knew her lost a dear friend.

Please accept our condolences in this time of distress. God however, gives us a wonderful promise that we as well as our loved ones will benefit in the near future.

Melba was a classmate of my husband. I graduated a year bewfore them at Leesville High School.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.
