Melva will be missed. We loved talking family genealogy. She always seemed to find a tidbit of information to lead to a new path of history.

You were certainly a joy to be around Melva!
Thank you for your smiles and laughter along the way. The heavens now shine brighter that you are amongst the stars.
You will always be remembered and greatly missed by all at Southern Tier Genealogy Society.

What a great cousin. She and her Mom; Aunt Olive, are the two that made sewing such a treasure for me and they taught me so much. It was wonderful to visit the farm for our 4-H meetings and other visits. Uncle Russell was quite a guy also. Recent years my husband and I would go to the Binghamton area to visit her. Melva will be missed by many that she touched in her life.

I was dubbed Princess' by her father, my uncle Russell, and she continued to use it ( I think teasing) well into my adulthood. She inspired me to go to college and to travel, explore and be curious. To this day, a little wooden witch on both broom and skis has a place of honor on the Christmas tree...she brought it back from Germany when she worked there. She truly was deeply engaged with our far-flung extended family. It was fun to work with her and Jeanette Jones on our Thomson Family...

My father was Homer Lynch, who was a cousin of Melva's. I first met Melva when I was young, and as an adult always enjoyed her letters and Christmas cards. She also knew of my interest in family history and had sent me different pieces of information over the years. She will be missed by many family members and friends, myself included.
