I met Mel when he was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Easton. I recall one Saturday afternoon at the Church recreation hall where I was preparing my Sunday School lesson. I was surprized to see Mel arrive and immediately gather all the equipment he needed to mop the spacious floor.
