My sincere condolences to The Banks Family. I have known Pastor Banks and has been friends with his daughter Patty for over 40+Decades. Pastor Banks served as a upstanding Christian Family Man, role model, and Teacher of the “Word”. May God grant you strength, peace and understanding during your time of bereavement.

Minister Melvin Banks was an inspiration to all he met. Melvin’s infectious smile captured the heart and soothed the soul. He will surely be missed by all who loved and knew him; his legacy lives on. My sincere condolences to the Banks family as you lay this precious soul to rest. May you have that “peace that passes all understanding” now and in the days to come.
Much Love

Thoughts and prayers for the Banks family as you cope with the loss of your dearly beloved Melvin Banks.

Pastor Banks has been my minister, encourager, and dear friend along with his wife and children for over 65 years. I was one of the employees at Urban Ministries during it’s early years which helped to hone the skills that served me most of my life. I truly love and appreciate all of the Banks family. His passing has left a tremendous void at Westlawn Gospel Chapel, but Pastor Banks had a vision for Westlawn and God’s love and work will continue.
