Oh how I miss my Dad. He was the most compassionate, caring, encouraging and loving Dad a person could ask for. The wisdom he imparted, the empathy he taught me to feel, the places he encouraged me to explore, made me the person I am. He was brilliant, witty, thoughtful and giving to all that knew him. I still feel him with me. Love you Dad.

Maya Angelou said "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Your dad made everyone he met feel very special. I only had one animated conversation with him, but I'll always remember his kindness and smile.

So sorry for your loss. May be rest in peace.

Melvin Barber was the best Dad that any daughter could ask for. He was loving, kind, considerate, encouraging and selfless. I miss him so much, but he will always live on in my best memories. He will be the extra motivation to strive for the best in all aspects of my life moving forward. Love you forever Dad.
