Melvin D. Barr

Melvin passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Melvin was a resident of Gap, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was married to Elizabeth 'Betty' Hoopes Barr. A memorial service will take place at the Paradise Bible Fellowship, 3092 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA on Friday, February 17th at 11 a.m. with a greeting time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastors David Peters and Ralph Soper will be officiating. Following the memorial service there will be a refreshment time in the church fellowship hall followed by interment in the Limeville Methodist Cemetery, Gap, PA at approximately 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Paradise Bible Fellowship, P.O. Box 217, Paradise, PA 17562.
