Mel was a very special person and so generous to the Silver Eagles. My husband Ted McCann always spoke so highly of Mel.

I was fortunate to meet The Captain through Jordann as we worked on the RA Group. His thoughts then were on protecting the folks that worked for, as he described it, "a once great airline". He was trying to right wrongs even then. It was very easy to respect the man, you could look into his eyes and know that he was looking back at you.
I am still impressed at the number of lives he touched, and how universally everyone as the same opinion - he was a man of indisputable...

Mel, you will be missed buddy! I will never forget the Old PIA days when you as a B-727 F/O made a greaser landing ! One of the Pax on board asked the Capt. Who made that great Landing ? The Capt. ( We all know who. ) told the Pax. All landings are made by ME or under my supervision !!
