Melvin Briggs

We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of Mel. He was such a wonderful, kind man. I will always remember his sense of humor and quick wit. He always made you smile. Your family always welcomed us with open arms. I remember going to the farm with my grandfather Bill Fleming and having so much fun. I have many fond memories. We are thinking of you at this difficult time. I will miss seeing Mel on our trips to Unity.

We read Melvin's obituary in the paper. Just want you to know that we are thinking of you, your Dad was a very special man.

We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your dad/grandpa....he was the symbol of dignity and life lived with a purpose. It is unfortunate when someone we love have to suffer but his body and soul will both be at rest and peace as he joins mom. Our schoolkids will miss his presence as they admired and respected all veterans but they knew your dad!
