Not sure what to say?

He's the reason I am an Omega and he's the reason I am striving for leadership in the education sector. He gave the confidence and vision to see that it was possible.

Gone but not forgotten.

Thanks to this man I am who I am today. Being a student at Blsckman highschool from 2001-2003 I was in and out of his office getting into trouble. He never gave up on me and always gave me life lessons. Today I am a college grad and working an amazing job as well as body building. Mr Daniels I just want to say thank you and you are missed. Had it not been for you showing me the path I was headed down was the wrong path even though I didn't listen then your words of wisdom have stuck with me...

Rest in peace, Melvin. We were only spectators in the stands in the Oakland High School years and came to and respect Melvin on and off the field. Comments made during those years were truly for a man of greatness. Gone but never forgotten!

I have thought of Melvin often in the past several years. We were at Central High together. Class of 1970. Not only was he the best at football, even then he was handsome, kind, thoughtful, and so respectful ! As a young man he set an example to all that knew him of a general men with a kind sprit. His friendship then meant a lot to me. God bless his family.

I just recently learned of Melvin's passing. We were teammates on the track team at Central High. It didn't surprise me to discover he was a teacher and mentor in his adult life. He showed those qualities as a teenager in high school. I'm proud to have known him and be considered a friend.

My condolences to the Daniels family. Melvin was two grades ahead of me at Central High.

My sympathy goes out to the family during your time of grief. May God's loving-kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. (Psalm 119:50,76)

There were no friendship like the ones Melvin made at MTSU during the 70's. Melvin was a vital part of our lives.

Mr Daniels was thought of kindly and will be sorely missed.
