Melvin Dunkelberger

I spent most of my childhood with Melvin as a good family friend. I remember him as a strong, energetic and hardy person, and it's unbelievable for me to think he's gone. For our first few few years in the United States, full of the bewilderment that comes from living in a strange new country, he was often a steadying force in our lives and was of tremendous help in adapting to our new home and, ultimately, making it our home. I have many, many memories of experiences with him and your family...

We were very sorry to learn (only today) of Marvin's passing and want to express our sincerest condolences to both of you. We only had the privilege of knowing Marvin a little bit but that was enough to realize what a kind and thoughtful person he was.
