Not sure what to say?

I lived on Fortuna Drive and on my way home from School at Fortuna Elementary many times saw Joan gardening. Melvin was my bishop in the Singles Ward. I grew up in that neighborhood and as an adult moved to Taylorsville, but I still made it to the Olympus Singles Ward until they told me because I no longer live in the neighborhood I could no longer go to that singles ward where I knew everyone, because the ward got too big I guess.. Broke my heart and couldn't find a ward I liked better. ...

Jon and I add our love and prayers to all the Farr family. We wish we could be with you today but are out of town. We have such love and respect for your mom and dad and for all of you. May our Heavenly Father send you comfort and joy in the memory of your dad and mom. What amazing parents !

I worked with Mel in HR at the Church. Mel is one of the kindest people I know. Truly a gentle giant of a man.
Always the first to greet you with a big smile and a little quip. Outgoing, happy, loving, caring, Christ-like all describe the Mel I know and love.

Farr Family,

My deepest condolences on the passing of your father/grandfather/loved one. He was my Bishop when I was in the single ward in the Cove and always had time to listen to a concern or pass on words of wisdom when I most needed to hear them. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us.

Those of us who knew him, and who know you, are mourning with you during this difficult time. We love all of you, and wish you peace and comfort.

To my cousins. We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Mel. He was/is a great man and a great uncle. You are a great family and will continue to make your parents proud.

We were on Uncle Mel's email list and while these past few years we didn't see each other much, he found a way to reach out. We are grateful for his efforts.

Your sorrow will one day be turned to joy. Continue to keep the faith.

Love,
Chris and Georgette Bennett
