Not sure what to say?

Memories of our encounters and conversation always bring a smile to my face. That says a lot about the kind of man that Mel was and the legacy he left.

Miss the great and informative talks with a truly great man.

What a great guy. I miss our conversations about county baseball and outdoor pursuits. I regret knowing him only in his last years, but am so glad that our paths crossed for that brief period of time.

Bob, Ruth, and Dot, we were very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Mel and your Mom were two of the most selfless people I had the privilege to know. You were lucky to have had them as your parents. I was lucky to have known them as my friends. Tod

It was truly an honor to have known this extraordinary man, even if only for the last few years of his life. I've loved watching as he held court in the stands during the basketball games. He would talk to everyone who walked past him. He eventually drew me in also, and I thoroughly enjoyed the playful banter back and forth with him. He was a hilarious joke-teller and story-teller, not to mention...very proud of his age! Everyone knew exactly how old he was. RIP my friend. Greenwood...

SORRY TO SEE THAT THE GREATEST GENERATION IS ANOTHER MEMBER CLOSER TO BEING ONLY A MEMORY. MAY THE LORD SHINE HIS ETERNAL LIGHT UPON HIM AND MAY HE REST IN THE PEACE THAT HE DESERVES.

R.I.P. Mel. It was a pleasure to have known you. We all could only wish to be as good of a man, as you were. With Much Respect.
