HAMBY, Melvin Delone, 75, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Hattie; son, Larry Hamby; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Keith Dixon, Jessica and Austin Willoughby, Melanie and Grant Smyth; seven grandchildren; and his very good friend, Tommy Musselman. Melvin retired from McLean Trucking Co. after 22 and a half years of service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the "Which Dollar" cancer support at 235 Arcadia Street, Richmond, Va. 23225.

I am so sorry to here of the passing of Mr Hamby. When I left the JW office, I truly missed his wit. I remember Mr Hamby always saying how you were so good to him.
My prayers are that your pain will ease and your memories sustain you.
