Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to hear of Mel's passing but read the articles with great interest. Tho our paths did not cross very often, he was always kind to me and interested in what was going on in my life. I am Doris Henry's daughter.

Dear Sue and family, I am so sorry to hear of your father's death. I remember many happy times in your house in Chagrin. I remember visiting with you Sue when my mother was so sick. It is a tender time. My heartfelt prayers go out to all of you. Fondly, Kathy

My condolences go to Sue, Tom & all the family. Mel was a warm, wonderful man who gave so many of Sue's friends fond memories of sharing his good humor and hospitality in Chagrin. One of my fondest childhool memories was when he dressed up as a clown and included a group of us on the Thomas Reap Realty float in the Blossom Time Parade! He sold my parents their home in South Russell and welcomed us to the area. My heart goes out to you in losing both of your fine parents in such a short period...

When I was a boy, Uncle Mel's big, warm laugh and smile was like a welcome sign calling me in to the Henry family home in Chagrin Falls. The same laugh and smile greeted me -- always as bright and spirited -- each time I saw him as years passed. What a wonderful pair he and Aunt Lolly made -- small wonder they were favorites of my father, Francis, and my mother, Mary Dunstan, Aunt Lolly's sister. I feel lucky to be his nephew, and my memories of him are a gift in m life.
