    Earth Has No Sorrow that Heaven Cannot Heal.


Melvin Joseph transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the age of 73. Melvin was born September 13, 1950, in New Orleans, LA, the fifth of six children to the union of the late O’Neil & Edith Clark Joseph.


Melvin was raised in Shrewsbury, where he attended and was a 1969 graduate of John H. Martyn High School.


Those left to cherish his beautiful memories his son, Anthony Dales, daughter, Melissa Nicole Joseph, one grandson, Jordon J. Joseph, his brother, Willie (Clara) Joseph, 4 sisters, Brenda J. Holmes, Elois J. Clark, Elaine J. Gibson, and Gladys J. (Willie) Clark. 1 aunt, Shirley Russell-Reed, 1 uncle, Early (Harriet) Joseph, brother-in-law; William (Rosalind) Leonard, Jr., sisters-in- law; Gloria Dean Nixon, Dorothy Crockett, Willie Dean Leonard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.


Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend the Home Going Celebration on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Cypress Grove Baptist Church, 901 31 st St., Kenner, La. Pastor John E. Dillon, Jr., Host, Elder Elois J. Clark, Officiant. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Providence Memorial Park 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am in the above named church.
