Dear Mercers,
I always had the utmost respect for Uncle Mel. Even though we didn't see each other very often, I always knew that if I ever needed anything I could always call him. Dear Lil,

Our prayers and thoughts are with you. I know there is a person in Heaven who is excited today. He hasn't seen his buddy in 15 years and they are going to have lunch together again. Although we know you miss Mel very much he is with his pal Eli in a much better place. Mel was one of my Dad's best friends and his kindness on this Earth will be greatly missed.
