Melvin Arthur Morton, Jr.

Melvin A. "Pat" Morton, Jr., of Birmingham, entered glory on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at age 79. He graduated from Howard College in 1961. Pat worked for Proctor and Gamble for 15 years then Bradford and Company where he was President and CEO until he retired. He was a member of the Church at Brook Hills where he served for many years as a greeter. He loved his Lord, his family, friends, career, and Bama football. He is preceded in death by a sister, Sue Ross; and a brother-in-law, Ben Kelley.

Pat is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Diane Morton; 2 daughters, Suzanne Morton Crisp (Michael) and Stacy Morton Blackman (Brian); 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Crisp Marino (Anthony) and Evan James Crisp; and 1 sister, Beth Kelley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will be at 2 PM in the Chapel with Pastor Roger Hendon officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
