Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege of working with Mel for many years in the BellSouth Business Office in Macon. We shared many good times and plenty of laughs together. Mel was a kind and good-hearted man who deeply loved his family and friends. He was always thoughtful and a true pleasure to work with. I´m grateful for the years we spent together at BellSouth and will always remember him fondly. May God bless his family in the days to come. Ann Hamrick

We, the Eddie Saxton family (Eddie Jr, Minnie, Jennifer, & Floyd) wish to express our sincere condolences and remember the fond memories of Melvin. May you find comfort in the joy that he brought you and so many others in our close knit BTW community.

God bless the Porter family. I have beautiful memories from growing up sharing a porch with the Porter family. Melvin was a tender-hearted soul who did his best to keep up with the wilder ones of us. We were indeed "family" because we cared for one another. Oh, the stories we could tell about our close-knit BTW community. Family, in your times of bereavement, be encouraged that Melvin is at peace with The Lord. Sandra Dennis Cannon "Cissy"
