He was a man of adventure, honor and dignity. He also seemed to have a lot of fun. I know he loved you all because he told me, unfortunately I turned the recorder off before you could hear it. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Your Husband and Father was a truly kind person and a caring and through physician. Last year I was so surprised to hear from him during Tom's illness and for his kindness and thoughtfullness that he extended to us. It was so nice to talk to him again. For this I will always be grateful.

I was shocked and very saddened to hear about Melvin's passing. I feel priviledged to have known him and worked for him.
He was one of the most caring and dedicated doctors, a real credit to the medical profession. I saw firsthand how much he cared for those he treated. I truly admired him. I remember how he always tracked Lu down and how he always liked her near. I am so very saddened-we have lost a very special soul, but God has gained one. ...

We were so very sorry to hear about your father. We have so many memories of him when we were kids and he was our doctor and neighbor.
