Mel and my dad, Tony Depreta, were lifelong best friends along with Chico Vejar. They always had the funniest stories including when Mel would fly them places! I know my dad loved Mel like a brother and had a very special friendship that lasted a lifetime. You could feel how much they liked and respected each other.
