Mr. Melvin Rouse of Charlotte, passed on April 6, 2015 at Novant Health-Matthews. Funeral service will be held on Monday April 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at University Park Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Beatties Ford Memorial Garden.

Deacon Rouse was like a God grandfather to me while i was growing up in the former University Park baptist Church known know as The Park Church. Every Sunday when I saw him, i would shake his hand and ask him how he was doing. He would always tell me he is doing good. He was a very Kind Hearted and positive person. He will be Truely missed by Me.

Melvin was such a positive brother beloved. He always had a good word for you even if you didn't have one. He was truely a blessing to all who knew him. My time at University Park BC was all the better knowing and serving with Melvin. Rest with the Angels my brother. To the Rouse Family, I sincerely feel your loss. Melvin and I were like brothers. We have known each other since our days in the band at A&T.
I will sorely miss my dear brother. Both of us were in the lawn care business. Not a day went by that we didn't call and talk to each other a couple of times a day. I still want to call him. I will miss him. He was the best of friends and a superior father.
The Lord has called a good soldier off the battlefield.
