Melvin A. Schaefer

I had many good teachers; Mel was my favorite. He fed my love of math. His crisp efficiency in the classroom made me consider a career in teaching. His running inspired me. His military service awed me. I shared his interest in ham radio and enjoyed the times that I talked on the air with him and Scott. Thank you, Mel, for all of that.
Debby and I extend our warmest condolences to Charlotte, Lori, Scott and the rest of his family.

Mr. Schaefer was one of my math teachers....and an excellent one. He challenged me to be precise in my calculations and explanations. After many years, I had the pleasure of contacting him and telling him how much I had enjoyed being in his classes. He was a teacher who touched many lives. My sympathy and prayers for comfort go to Mrs. Schaefer, Lori, Scott, and the family.

Lori and family, So sorry to read of your Dad's passing. He'll be missed by all that knew him...it sounds like he lead a very intersting life...but he's going to meet Jesus...what a wonderful thing.
