Renee,
No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. We can't thank you enough for sharing you father with our family. Life would not have been the same without him.
As I am standing at the window and looking out at the chair on the porch where Uncle Scotty always sat when he was here, it sends me back to so many memories of how he shared his life with us. I loved seeing Uncle Scotty's smile when our grandson Mason would crawl into his lap and hold Uncle Scotty's face in his little hands to tell him something eye to eye. It was the same chair Uncle Scotty sat in at Mom and Dad's pool and back porch at their home where my little girls would crawl into his lap and do the same eye to eye conversation some 30 years ago. The same chair that he would place in front of our back door if he had come by and we were not home. Yes we always knew that Uncle Scotty had been there.
I will truly miss all the long conversations we would have about everything in life. Uncle Scotty was so easy to talk too, and fun to be with. We were truly blessed to have him as part of our family for so many many years. We love you and miss you Uncle Scotty, you will be in our hearts forever.
Those we love walk beside us everyday. We don't see them or hear them but they are always there. Still loved and still missed.

Melvin was a true friend and a gentleman. We will all miss him but the good memories are there for us to remember him by. Rest in peace dear friend.

I can't remember many, if any, Sundays at my grandparent's house without Uncle Scotty there. I remember domino games and family banter with so much love and laughter. I remember him stepping in as honorary grandfather in my wedding when my own grandfather could not be there. So many of my family memories have him in them. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. We love you Uncle Scotty. Thank you Renee for sharing your dad with our family. It wouldn't have been complete without him. I have no doubt he was met with many loving embraces and bliss when he entered Heaven, he touched the lives of so many people. The world lost a great man and Heaven gained an angel.
