I am so sorry to hear of Melvin's passing...just found it on the obits tonight, otherwise I would have been there for the funeral today. Jake and I had been very good friends with Melvin from childhood and when he moved to VA he and Marian stayed with us a few days while they waited for their apartment; this endeared them to us all the more.
