Not sure what to say?

12 years today since you´ve been gone, hard to believe. You are still missed, your hugs, your laugh, just having you around made the days brighter. Your strong faith was so inspiring. Another Christmas with Jesus. I love you Mel, my favorite brother-in-law

Think about you often Grandpa and miss you tons...every time I talk about you I feel you with me. A lot more recently than ever..you were and always will be my biggest inspiration for your faith and your love for everyone around you. Rest in peace and till we see each other again keep sending me signs! Heavenly Hugs-Your Granddaughter-Amanda

I will never forget you Mel, my favorite brother-in-law. What a joy you were to Butch & I. We talked about you all the time & what fun we had with you. Now, I know you are both together fishing in Our Lord’s waters. Until we are all together, I love you & take care of Butch, he just moved in & needs your care...❤

Our condolences to Barb, Amy, Shelly & Vicki for the loss of Mel.We just learned of his death today. We regret not having the opportunity to attend his funeral.I remember many great fishing trips with him & Bud to Canada & Maple Lake .Wish there could have been more in recent years. Mel always made the best tasting fried fish fresh from the lake. Brother-in-law & fishing partner, Jerry & Darlene Thelen.

I was sorry to hear of Mel's passing. My memories are from the softball field where I had the opportunity to coach against him. He was a great adversary as well as a good and decent person. I always enjoyed bumping into him over the ensuing years and reminiscing about those days on the ball field. My prayers and condolences.

Saw Mel many times in adoration through the years. He inspired me by how he popped in the chapel more than anyone I have seen. And he had a quiet happy prayer. How beautiful to have his funeral Mass at the same time as his regular adoration shift. May he now be adoring our Lord face to face. My sympathies to the Sobaski family.

Dear Mel,
You told us you were ready, but we weren't ready to let you go. Now I know our Lord has other plans for you. What a wonderful Angel you are going to be, always praying for us & watching over us. Your family was very blessed to have you in their lifes,& as a brother-in-law, you were the best & we thank God for the time we had you with us. Until we see each other again, rest in peace & God Bless You.
Love, Butch & Darlene

My prayers and thoughts are with your family
