Melvin L. Trosclair

Melvin L. Trosclair passed away on July 2, 2022, in Metairie, LA at age of 87 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Shirley K. Trosclair for 61 years. Father of the late Craig S. Trosclair. Survived by daughter Sandi T. Pechon. Son of the late Lawrence and Beula Savoie Trosclair. Brother of the late Whitney, Lawrence and Leo Trosclair. Survived by sisters Joyce Struck (late Dick), Doris Monroe (late Leon), Lucy Cortez (late P.J.) and Elaine Priez (Vic). Also survived by three grandchildren Cody St. Germain, Justin St. Germain and Bailey Pechon and one great-grandchild Hendrix St. Germain. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Melvin always enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and looked forward to the many Senior Club Trips with his wife. We appreciate the help of Notre Dame Hospice Group. He served in the U.S. Army. Melvin retired with over 40 years of service at Borden's Dairy (Airline Dr.). Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will being at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460.
